In Memoriam: Bruce (Ward / Jonathan)

Jock-Spank was founded in 2008 by Bruce, a talented artist in the M/M spanking and corporal punishment scene for many years. He was also known online by the names Ward and Jonathan. Until his passing, many in the community did not realize that Bruce, Ward, and Jonathan were the same person.

Bruce was from the U.K. and spent most of his life in London before moving to the countryside during the last years of his life. He was a quiet and enigmatic figure, private by nature and more comfortable letting his art and the site speak for him, rather than sharing many personal details.

Bruce dedicated nearly two decades to Jock-Spank, turning it into one of the longest running websites in our genre for news, previews, and updates from studios and artists. He also spent much of his time mentoring and supporting younger artists coming up in the scene, helping countless creators find visibility and keeping the community connected.

While Bruce held strong political views that sometimes differed from many of his friends, this never stopped him from forming lasting bonds and warm relationships within the community.

Bruce passed away in August 2025. Much about his life still remains a mystery. He probably would prefer it this way.
