The Big Boys of our town paddled my rump regularily in the good ol days when we bad boys were expected by any elder to bare our bottoms and assume the punishment position. We considered ourselves with luck if after a paddling our paddler did not report us to our Dads, because then we got it at home; which was really painful getting spanked on a recently paddled ass.
